Marisa tried pulling off the children on the stalk, but they would die if the stalk is still attached.
Meanwhile the babies got medicine from Pache, but since the burned skin is already brittle, it peels off. ...aren't burned skin usually harden up instead of becoming fragile like that ?

They're still newborn kos so this is severely burned, their wound has darker color than normal burn wound, in another word, their "feet" have become charcoal already. Normally, Patchouli leader knows orange juice treatment, but this kind of yukkuri injury needs cutting necrosis part and then forming the missing part with flour-water (orange juice is more effective) mixture, but flour is not a thing that can be found in forest, no yukkuri dares to ask human as well (except those shitty "yukkuri lives matter" human). Furthermore, even if their parents try to glue their bodies, kos no longer have anus or urethra, death is inevitable
In sum, Anon here don't let them have any chance to survive.
This is my most fav big.g's work - painful facial expression is too great.
I think the Kos on the stalk logic indicates, since they getting nutrients from the stalk, it means they are connected to the stalk, so if you pull them away from the stalk, they will bleed from the stalk
