I have to say, after reading the previous chapter, I kind of feel bad for this Marisa But when doing a home declaration a yukkuri's fate is decided, so this feeling is kind of wasted

From the moment Marisa met Deibu, her fate was sealed.
Can't really such much about the story without more translation. It looks like a typical dumb family raiding a house, except the human living there decides to have an extended murder/torture session with them.
A damn shame how this all played out - there are many ways this story could have gone other than the usual "house declaration = death" deal (although the buri seems safe for now). Gotta admit I was actually pulling for that Marisa.

I'm... not really surprised. I mean, I really hoped things would turn out well for Marisa, but as soon as home declaration came... yeah.

The guy did actually try to persuade the Marisa to leave, and even played along with its logic, but obviously that didn't get through it's bean paste brain. Up to page 32, the Marisa could've saved its family by agreeing to leave peacefully following the human guy's reasoning, but it sealed off that only way out, and the rest is history.
And this Marisa is actually not an inexperienced one in dealing with humans; it mentioned that twice before it had witnessed its family (one with an Alice, another with a different Reimu before it coupled with the elderly Reimu in this story) killed before its own eyes as it froze in fear, so it's bound to know the gap of strength between a human and a yukkuri. And yet it still decided to get humans tangled in its business by having a home declaration. I simply don't know anymore, why are Marisa-types so exceedingly retarded compared to other kinds of yukkuri?

Simple. They're as retarded as the story plot requires them to be.

It says something like this home declaration avenges the deaths of its parents and Alice and the previous Reimu.
