uhhh.... so Marisa thought that all humans hate yukkuri's use of human speech like our misanthropic male anon then, and decided to pretend to be a premature yukkuri. that's actually smart in one way, but really dumb in another, to be honest.
a smarter-than-average yukkuri that can learn and develop proper deduction quickly, but too bad it learned from an atypical human behavior and took it word-by-word. it could've asked another (normal) human nicely and may get something, instead of pretending to be a filthy premature and have its idea not understood.

But does Marisa know that there are "normal" humans? Marisa's experiences with humans were with whoever killed her parents, the guy at the trash site who killed the father Marisa, and the "atypical" salaryman If you think about it, this isn't even a yukkuri-specific behaviour Humans, too, naturally form certain ideas based on personal experiences and biases I can even think of a notable example: people thought cerain vermins and bacteria grew on their own from dirt or from rotten food, because they could see it happen and couldn't find a cause that wasn't a spontaneous generation, until Pasteur definitely proved them wrong
In short I want to say that this Marisa was very smart and world-savvy and I'm saddened to see her gone because she was unlucky

From what I understand of the story she was unable to gather enough food and was facing starvation in any event, which is why she took the risk of going to humans. Failing to survive was the default outcome she already faced and surviving would have been good luck.
