I actually think grape style growing was a method of ye olde times before the ever popular "Simplistic stalk with a few yu buds" just took over as the main stalk method of birthing.
And I mean a loooooooooooooooooooooooooong time ago very early years.
Maybe this author wants to bring back some old ideas?

Grape bunches like these were from a long time ago, but not that long; stalks had already been well-established. The grape bunch style showed up as a joke, was popular for a few pics at most (see post #11342), and then vanished again.
