The dumbass tag brings up an interesting question: can any creature truly be considered stupid for falling for a trap meant to exploit a quirk of its psychology? Or, more broadly, can acting according to instinct truly be considered idiocy?

If we think intelligence is what prevent a creature from doing things known would be bad for itself, even it's according to instinct. Then we could say a creature not able to prevent doing things known would be bad for itself is stupid. But on the other hand, if a creature will do things bad for itself because it doesn't know they are bad, it's not stupid but ignorance.
