I'm not gonna lie, this one is exactly identical to that legendary series, with some minor differences.
The family is very happy, with the parents being the newlyweds, the kos is the first batch, some identical "raising flags" quotes: very happy, angels, from now on let's be easy, can do anything, blablabla, the story can be divided into two extreme parts: family_friendly and abuse. They slowly (pun intended) enjoy their very easy life, with tasty food everywhere, can do rub rub with mwommie, can shit everywhere they like, home is very solid and warm. Also, about the abuse part: Reimyu is crushed, Maricha is thrown to death, kiriraitaa's tool, the father is beaten when courageously trying to fend off the abuser. The only exceptions are: youngest Reimyu is not wasa, they're more anger inducing and shithead than their predecessor, Reimyu is not burned to death, Reimu is not having mammalian pregnancy, Maricha is not being tortured.
But eh, those are just nitpicking. So "insert food at home meme right here".
Eh doubt it's intentional. Kiri's true happiness's plot structure (show yukkuris minding their own easiness but then humans arrive to have fun) has become the standard nicehead/neutral wild yukkuri abuse formula for years now. The abuse too, "crushed, thrown to death, some form of stabbing tool, beat up the courageous father" are really generic stuff you can find in a lot of abuse work.
Basically what I thought. True Happiness was my first exposure to the yukkuri community, and was basically completely disturbed. It COULD be coincidence, but something about the structure makes me feel like it's a clone... albeit a lukewarm one
True Happiness is a popular yukkuri abuse work so I imagine it has influenced a lot of series, but this plot seems pretty standard for a non-shithead abuse work.
I agree that this is a common trope, however, this is way more identical compared to others. Take takumi as an example, in his newest stuff (pool #2114), although it still has some other tropes (happy family, child is crushed, father gets beaten when trying to help), it's not very similar to kiriraitaa. I don't know how to describe this, but this story gives me the same vibe as that one, unlike takumi's. But you guys may be right, it could be a coincidence.

Well like a lot of comics are about the typical yukkuris family living without problems and without disturbing anyone got murdered just for the sake of violence
