Actually no. Marisa's family got buchered by humans. She says that killing their own families would be sad as well. She ends saying to cherish yukkuri and humans.

I personally think it's the other way around, Yukkuris should cherish humans so humans would cherish them, full fledged abyusers aside, the majority of the issues between humans/non yu's with yukkuris is because of the yukkuri's pestering them to the point of making the non yu's feel antipathy or apathy towards yu's.
Marisa's family may not be the case, but her speech doesn't seem to consider that Yukkuris are the ones who should win humanity back, not the other way around.

Now after that 2 cents that nobody cares about...
Thanks for the translation ukshadow, though I think that "no ze" should be just "ze".

But thats the whole problem isn't it? There are simply too many cases of yukkuris pestering humans/breaking into homes/etc for humans to extend the olive branch. Why should humans give yukkuris a chance when they already get (and fail) multiple chances at every level (from individual to clan)?
No one wants to be told "don't kill the neighborhood rats" after they've already broken into your house 19 times, just because a random rat told you a sob story.

...On the other hand, an alternate interpretation of this would be Marisa looking down on humans, as if killing humans are not worth dirtying her family's memory for. (Yeah, right.)

Maybe the marisa took it real, nothing that does is gonna bring her faily back alive, so why bother it? She aint no Max Payne or the punisher, so she would know that she would die, if she try.

Nah, check some of his latest works, they are abyuse to some degree, maybe Noraaki wanted to make something different, or there will be a cynical and cruel follow up similar to that one of the "Preaching Reimu" that got the boot in the face.

Welp, better pay attention to any weird potentially apocalypse triggering action performed by any PETY type, Anti Yukkuri Guy or Crooked Umbrellaish Factory Researcher...and maybe a few shithead Dosus.
The least we need is your newly achieved compassion leading to you not stopping the future yupocalypse performed by any of those individuals, Mr Hanky!
Odds are her family got killed of their own accord (i.e. they did something stupid, human tries to help, family dies anyway, marisa blames humans). And Marisa's refusal to fight humans is her really knowing she is no match for them.

That's clearly the case here, and yet marisa's delusion is making it out to be as if it is her "compassion" is why she's letting bygones be bygones and not seek revenge, and not owning up to their own faults.
We don't have a context here, so it's hard to jump about saying that "the family probably got killed for being idiots/scum or Marisa blames the humans because the humans didn't save them in time."
While we can give our opinion about the speech compared to our view of the general situation in the yu world, we really can't comment on the circunstances of the death of Marisa's family.
Unless Noraaki makes follow up pages showing it, either proving her honety or discrediting her.
I just like how much you guys try to to convince yourselves that everything is always the fault of the yukkuri and they are rotten to the core to the point they can't even have the slightest humanity in them.
Blame the asshole wizard that modified the once nice yukkuris to be like that, humanity just reacted after being betrayed by the once nice creatures and bearing for long their newly developed horrible antics.
Our only hope is to somehow the remaining nice yu's start outbreeding bad ones and that, whatever modification the asshole wizard did, it out powered by the new outbreeding.
Humans, I have a favor to ask-noze.
Cherish yukkuri-noze.
If you do yukkuri too will regard you as important-noze.I cannot forgive the human who killed Reimu and the little ones-noze... it's frustating but... I decided to not to get revenge-noze. That human surely has a family, so doing the same to that family would be sad-noze.... they got killed by humans.Marisa had a family-noze.
A gentle Reimu and cute little ones-noze.
Taking it easy every day-noze.
But that is no more-noze.
