An even greater source of suffering for Little Reimu was that, although she had accepted Father Marisa as her new Dwaddy, Father Marisa was completely dismissive towards Little Reimu, refusing to let her near Mother Reimu and Little Marisa.
"Someone else's stray child! Get out of here! Don't come near Marisa's family!"
"YUUUAAAAA! WHY IJ DIS HAPPENIIIIIIING? MWOMMY... MWOMMY... SHABE WEIMUUUUUUUUUU!"
But Mother Reimu only looked helplessly at Little Reimu without saying anything at all.
Accessories that didn't match. Being a stray child that was picked up off the street. These circumstances led to Little Reimu leading a completely unaccepted, completely uneasy existance.
I guess this is the same as for the babies of the animals once they are touched by human beings, in contact with a different smell are rejected by the parents could not blame Mother Reimu a lack of love because it was a baby that his Komarisa imposed on him, but what I dislike is its total lack of interest
Actually that isn't the same, Yu's don't have that way to many stories have ko's interacting with humans and their mothers wouldn't reject them when they returned. The story pretty much says that the reasons were mismatched accesories and being adopted, basically typical yu assholery.
While it may not be the exact same, it is VERY similar. For example, Male lions will outright KILL any lion cubs that aren't their own. There are also numerous other species that will do the same, so you can't really blame this entirely on 'yu assholery', and hey, at least the father here didn't KILL the koreimu outright.
For lions it's all about preventing future usurpers and making sure the lionesses get in the mood for procreating the proper heirs, lionesses won't have more cubs unless the ones they already have are gone. That's a very typical thing in animal groups. So it still is Yu Assholery on the work, no good reason for this attitude or a proper natural explanation, not even the "we don't have food and shelter so we can't take care of her" excuse, since they are freeloading on a shelter.
The closest thing to this are bad parents who mistreat their kids (adopted or not) or those people romancing a single/divorced parent while being assholes to the single/divorcee kids and even wanting to kick them out of the family somehow.
Can't say it's being yu asshole yet. Still average and understandable.
To Marisa, that kid is an unpleasant surprise. He's not there to have any say when little Marisa bring the lil sis into the family. She's not adopting by choice, it's just shoved to her in a sudden. The mismatched colour doesn't help. It's the child of a total stranger (not even Reimu's child).
Mother Reimu, like nemo said, isn't that eager to take little Reimu herself. She only did it for the little Marisa. Besides, if the caretaker will take care of them, she didn't have to feel guilty like throwing the kid to the highway.
The thing is that there is no real good reason for them to be mean like that to koreimu, ironicaly it was more understable back when they had a stray life, but now in the shelter? they really don't have any excuse to be like this, no problem of extra mouth, no problem of space, nothing.
Question is, how does she know? Marisa didn't see Reimu give birth; she has no idea how many babies she had.
