Have you ever heard of any stories in which yukkuri's eyes can be healed? I haven't read all the stories on Google, most of them are from the well-known authors who you might also have known too.
Yes. If I'm not mistaken the most detailed was When I Met Yukkuri (check the Google group.)
There's a few others, like Yukkuri in the City (AKA Gutter Trash). I took my notes from Yukkuri in the City -- they can regrow their eyes like anything else, but the eye may come back with no-to-partial vision. Even Miss Bodied Flandre (Big.G) and Miss Hakurei (Vector42) are both blind in their regained eye.

An alternative I recall from some stories is doing a transplant, basically you properly clean up the eye socket of any remaining damaged eye and then swap it with a full remplacement, all this of course done while they are udner ramune or some form of high sleeping chemical for yu's.
Once they would wake up, it would be like if they never missed an eye at all since the new one would automatically work.
Now where they got the remplacement eyes? Dunno, My pet theory is someone deciding that "since shit heads are a waste of everything, specially life, they may as well harvest whatever good yu organs you can get from them to help good yu that got into accidents."
Kinda how there are "remplacement accesories" on petshops in case your pet or adopted yu is missing one.

Actually there are many stories in which yukkuri's eyes can be healed fully (sometimes just healing on its own with the power of belief or naturally). Remilias and Flans have ramped up healing abilities and can recover their eye and sight eventually as long as they do not die.
While I have difficulty finding it now, there are even older stories here where non-immortal yukkuri can recover in full as long as the paste core is intact and you either bury it in soil and pour orange juice on it or transplant the core to another yu.

I usually see that it's more common for the opposite to happen, leading to all those 1 eyed "Veteran Hunters/Guardian Yu's" from herds that are meant to be this ultimate hardenned Yu that faced a lot of crap protecting and hunting, of course that archetype of yukkuri characters can sometimes be potrayed just with a yu full of scars and a "rugged" looking skin, but the "one eyed veteran hardened type" is such an overdone trope that even between humans you know that unless said otherwise the rugged 1 eyed type is probably some sort of veteran.

I think that was on Big.G's work to be precise, not old as in "on JiE's time or Pre JiE's time" but it is old since it was like 3 or 4 years ago, when I was on my Yu Break.
