"Amblypygids are also known as whip spiders and tailless whip scorpions (not to be confused with whip scorpions that belong to the Arachnid order Thelyphonida). The name "amblypygid" means "blunt rump", a reference to a lack of the telson ("tail") carried by related species. They are totally harmless."
I guess they are only "totally harmless" to humans, not yukkuris.
Haha typical yukkuri carelessness and naivete and low intelligence to its death. They're amusing me the most nowadays. I wonder what it wanted when it asked the spider to stop. Don't tell me it wanted to do mwunch-mwunch.
And I'm sure amblypigids will do harm to me. Mental damage. I freak out when I see spiders too.
Yeah Warui it definitely wanted to do munch munch, remember they never consider bugs anything but munch munch, so, let's say this is a proper answer from a bug when a yukkuri get's close to it while going "WAIT!" since they'll later arrogantly say that they want to do munch munch and that the bug should stay put.
"Stop Mister Bug! yukkuri want to do munch munch!"
"Stop taking it Easy and let yukkuri munch munch you!"
"Why are you doing this!? Let yukkuri Munch Munch or yukkuri will get angry and puff you!"
"You that don't let yukkuri take it easy is uneasy trash".
This is the line of thought of yukkuris in this kind of situations, it's arrogant because they get offended because a living being dares to want to live and not be eaten by them, and then they go and use the same living being card to justify others not harming them.
So yeah, it is arrogant, in a childish and delusional way, because they do it all the time, not only when they are starving and experiencing famine and are desperate.
Trying to eat a person? Unlikely, aside from Reimilias and Flandres if they get confused looking at someone's head. Yukkuris know enough to understand humans have or can bring food and easy things and that humans are uneasy things; can't take it easy by eating uneasy stuff, right? Or something like that.
Also probably not arrogant how they say things out loud; my guess is that it's part of their thought process and how they maintain group unity. They're heads with limited mobility and body language; vocalizations convey emotion and intent to everyone else.
Then I guess our ways of classifying and judging actions are different. As well as what we think motivates yukkuris to act as they do. I surely don't want to go into detailed arguments about the millions of yukkuri actions and thoughts and even less to start a possible comment war, so I'd rather keep this as the differences in our thoughts.
The thing is, they don't just say that and do nothing if they fail to catch their prey, they actually get offended and insult the prey for not letting them eat them, that's the problem, i wouldn't have much of an issue if they were just dumb ala Remirya going "I'll eat you!", no problem there, but if they get idiotically arrogand and self rightous about a fellow living being daring to run away and not let be eaten, well, sorry, i can't approve it, it's just an arrogant mindset to get angry at your food because it runs aways and you think they should just lay peacefully and let you eat them if they are alive. You can get angry at failing at it, but not at the living being to do something everybody does, try to preserve their lives.
It's not thinking too hard when we are discussing a general aspect of yukkuris. I would be thinking too hard if i developed a whole scenario for this very Marisa and the bug, instead, i only mentioned a fact about yukkuris, there is no other reason for the Yukkuri to go "wait mister bug" than for munch munch, then we had a nice and civil discussion about how in general, yukkuris tend to be too arrogant with the living beings they eat, and i explained why i considered it arrogant.
It's not thinking too much, it's discussion, it's not my fault that you can't stomach civil discussion for some weird reason, it isn't even a comment war or anything.
Eh, your posts sound kind of angry about yukkuris but that might just be me. That and I think the Google group is a better place for posting paragraphs of thoughts and having in-depth discussions about yukkuris. Doing it here makes the Comments page a pain in the ass to scroll through.
It's mainly not approving their anticts than anger, i tend to get angry with them for other stuff, and anyway, discussion can be done here and there, as long as we stick to the rules. It won't hurt you scroll the comments page, specially, when you are actually looking for the comments, since that's the purpose of that page, right? you may as well use it as a method to know if someone uploaded a translation of a pic you wanted to know what it says, but the purpose of comment page is to see the latest comments, for quick pick checking, you have always the pain page or the tag search.
>>Yukkuris know enough to understand humans (snip)... can't take it easy by eating uneasy stuff, right?
Them understanding humans have 'easy things' is probably right, but not that "that humans are uneasy things". Judging from the commonplace home invasions and demands, that second concept doesn't seem to exist for the majority of them (same goes for uneasy foods and things such as chillis, etc.). Attempting to eat humans is unlikely, but mostly for the fact it'd require planet crushing amounts of stupidity and arrogance.
>>Also probably not arrogant...
Now that's interesting. What you say is an interesting theory that might work between the yukkuris. Unfortunately, to us, it seems arrogant and we see it that way. And that's what counts, really. Although I think there are two different things being discussed here: announcing things out loud and then the content, actual arrogant statements/behaviours (e.g. insulting prey for not letting them be eaten), although the latter often take the form of the former. If JIE is angry towards them, I can understand why. Both are trademarks of the deibu, and a lot of people want to crush them mercilessly as opposed to watching them being retarded.
