I.....think this is the first time I've ever seen a yukkuri actually ASK for death. I've seen numerous cases where a yukkuri probably does want to die, but the ones in that situation have usually 'lost' their ability to speak, in one way or another. So, I think this is the first time I've ever seen a yukkuri actually vocalize its desire to die.
@Barrakketh Hm. I didn't realize that that Marisa was saying that. Then again, I think that translation was posted after I had 'read' that story, but before I started watching the comments page, so I probably missed when the translation for that page was posted. So I had filed that particular case as one of the 'wants death, but cant talk anymore' cases.
I guess whats interesting about this is that it seems to imply that the anon has kind of become obssessed with the idea of yu-abuse and in a sense is only happy during abuse.
If I wanted to stretch this I could say that it is similar to an addiction (since it doesn't have to be a purely chemical one) and references a counter-point against utility that the "greatest amount of happiness" doesn't actually produce what could be called "true" happiness, but a more superficial version of it.
Kind of like how the purpose felt in a quest of vengeance isn't actually a purpose but a protracted quest of self-destruction in service of a basic form of justice. :V
