Regarding password recovery?

Anyone know if the password recovery function works? Old user here but can't quite log into my own account (and it seems that the password that was sent to me doesn't work either.)

pw recovery should work fine, it might just go to the spam box because the e-mail domain is spoofed and not actually coming from gmail. We can't manually reset your password since its encrypted.

edit: just tested it, pw recovery works fine.

I tried it again; it gave me a new password but it didn't quite work. Is there a way to reset directly from the website?

What's not working exactly? Is the password recovery link not working or is the password itself not working?
