I'm new to the site as far as accounts, but I've been keeping an eye on the yukkuri community for a while...or at least, I've tried to. The harder I look for active areas and places where an actual fandom exist, the more I become aware of how little of a fandom yukkuri actually have. After about 2008-2009, activity everywhere ground to a crawl - comic series quit updating, story groups solidified, pieces of work went cold and never got completed. Everywhere yukkuri have a dominant presence before seems to have quietly died on a large scale, and I'm very confused. I'm beginning to get frustrated as I scour the internet for somewhere active, and while people still visit here, it's obviously not the place it used to be. So many people are gone now. This does happen naturally over time, but it's like a chunk of the planet where all the active big-time yukkur fans lived suddenly dislodged itself from the rest of earth and drifted into the sun or something.
I won't say I've done massive extensive research but I have looked around and it's both concerning and perplexing. If someone has an explanation for me, it would be greatly appreciated.
