I tried searching livedoor and I still have no idea where you're finding the version you're looking at. Can't you just link the page?

Can't you simply fuse the two version (maybe not in a single "patch" but in more "patchs" adding one yukkuri of their yukkuri at time and if possible also the stalk birts) if you can't then lets make concorrence at the japanese and improve your version

We can't fuse the two versions because the actual structure is very different,Basically, they have a ton more "stuff" even if its not as well fleshed out, however to deal with this, they altered the most basic existing code to better suit a game with many many many different classes. In contrast, my version is in the original configuration, and I followed that framework up until now because I find it more straightforward, and there was never a reason to switch.

Therefore to port it, I'll have to actually alter the code a good deal (not to mention clean up the text encoding errors caused by japanese characters which make it uncompileable)

It would however, still be much, much faster than coding it from scratch

Option 3-- with a readme showing credit given to the original coder(s)?

I agree with option 3 as well. I just had a look at that live door version. Cirno, Eiki, and Suwako we could use without fixing up from the looks of it. Some of the other sprites....not so much. Some I can have a look at and might be able to fix up. The fact they added stalk birth and stretching is pretty cool too.

Reimu's badge is currently on her ribbon, which of course is where it is in pictures; and, of course, if her ribbon goes, the badge would go with it.

If/when someone comes up with better versions, it'll be easy to C&P their graphic over mine; I'm just fine with having these considered as placeholders!

Alright. I'll add those melted sprites in. I'm not going to post an update or do any more coding til Friday afternoon est, I have a ton of work right now.

Please continue to post your feelings on my proposals, and a final decision will be issued on Friday

Nope, Meiling will not be implemented, partially to spite you, mostly because her sprite set doesnt work (they included the hat on hte body.png, shes the wrong size and color, the braids are also in the body.png instead of seperate, and it just doesn't match the artstyle at all, doesnt have piko, its not even colored within the lines >.>)

Like I said earlier, I'll add whatever yukkuris you want, but they have to have complete sprite sets that match style wise or things will get very, very messy and the modularity will get screwed over.

Also you have to promise to help with dialog (hint: Jaoo'n!)

But hey, at least it isnt as bad as the Ayaya >.>
Preferably I'd like to avoid hitting ZUNart level

Proposal 3 is my vote.

I'll try my hand at 'fixing' the nightmare fuel that is the holes created by those eye/mouth removal. My idea is to 'smooth' the graphics since they currently clash so much with the rest of their sprite.

Just a question first, the 'dimensions' for those should be kept, yes? I'm guessing they 'mostly overlap' the general area for eyes and mouth, is this a correct assumption?

Oh and Eternity, for the Japanese verison of Simyukkuri, can you edit the code so I can pick what ever Yukkuri I want? Then I can get you all the sprites. :D

It's literally a super cropped picture of a dirt hole, you're probably better off making a new one, and position it over where the eyes/mouth are
