One Yukkuri Place

Stuff from 2chan

Posted under General

This thread is for sharing interesting 2chan comments that don't have any pictures with them--little stories, or story ideas, or debates, or just summaries of topics that people are talking about.

The first thing I wanted to share was a one-paragraph vignette, but I didn't get around to saving or posting it before the thread was deleted, so instead of an exact translation, here's a summary of what I remember:

Anon comes across a cardboard-box house in the park. As he watches, the single-mother Reimu leaves her babies and goes out hunting for food. Once she's gone, the babies start talking to each other--they're actually adult mini-yus or house-yus (Anon isn't sure which) who've taken the real babies' accessories and are pretending to be the babies so Reimu will feed them. Anon speculates that mother Reimu is concerned by the fact that her babies aren't growing any bigger, and she's probably working herself to the bone trying to gather more and better food for her babies. Anon is kind of impressed at the cleverness of the mini/house-yus.

(Also, IIRC, the imposter-babies were grumbling to each othre that Reimu's food isn't very good and thinking of leaving to go scam a different family.)

Translation of a drifting conversation about using a baby Patchouli to flavor your coffee:

--I wonder how you'd put it in... Throw it in whole? Or squash it and only pour in the filling?

--Ere ere ere ere... Now, drink up!

--If you throw it in whole, it'll get really sweet. If you don't like [your coffee] sweet, quickly smash it and then put it in.

--Patchy's barf-cream is actually pretty good. Apparently, Patchy thoroughly suffers when she barfs, so it has a nice sweetness and mellowness that'll really hook you.

--I take my coffee black, so I wouldn't put [the baby Patchouli] in it. I'd like to just leave her on the side until I'm done drinking, and just when she thinks her life had been spared, I'd pour the little bit of coffee left on her.

--You'd make a mess on the table. Wipe it up properly with Maricha's hat!

--post #41823 (chansketch of Komarisa sticking her tongue out to taste a drop of coffee): What'sh thish, je?

--I see "Yugeeh, thish ij poijoned!" in her future.

--post #41824 (chansketch of Anon wiping the table with Komarisa's hat): Shtop iiiit!

It's easy to make yukkuris bring misery upon themselves.
"If you're a really easy yukkuri, you can do it!"
With that one sentence, they'll readily throw themselves into danger. If they can't do it, they'll be branded as "uneasy," so they'll give it their all.

"If you're really easy, you should be fine eating this chili pepper, right?"
"If you're really easy, water is nothing to be afraid of, right?
"If you're really easy, you can take a punch, right?"
Today, yet again, I watch them throw themselves into danger.

The funny thing is that, It sounds like one of those things the community is aware of, but for some reason nobody said it until now.

I dunno if any of you experienced that, when something of a collective knowledge that people are aware but It is never voiced, but when it is said everybody acts like they know about it and they actually do.

A meandering 2chan conversation that had some good pics and ideas:

It all started with Recent Unnamed Clay Artist posting some work inspired by anko3824. (See post #42110 for anko summary.)

I kyun-kyun'ed reading Mr. Tsurezure-aki's "Fashionable Marisa", so it made me want to make this.

Of course, I couldn't make 10 of them. All you need to do is make their accessories take it easy forever right in front of them, right?

I didn't have a ring, and I didn't have a beer-bottle cap, so I gave her this.
Sorry for defiling your eyes.

Marichas have bountiful substitute accessories, don't they. But for Weimus...

>しかしれいみゅは・・・
そのうち小林幸子みたいな大舞台を背負っているれいみゅが現れるかもしれん
>But for Weimus...
Before long, we might start to see Weimus carrying giant props on their backs like Kobayashi Sachiko.

>しかしれいみゅは・・・
リボンだからねぇ
なんか代用品はないもんか
>But for Weimus...
Yeah, since it's a ribbon...
Isn't there any substitute?

>なんか代用品はないもんか
千枚漬けとかしば漬けとか

Senmaizuke pickles, or shibazuke pickles...

The butterfly can suck Reimu's filling.
Reimu can use the butterfly as a replacement for her lost accessory.
It's a win-win relationship.

>しかしれいみゅは・・・
その分無くなり辛い、とられ辛い形状だからいいじゃないか

>なんか代用品はないもんか
寿司のバランを櫛みたいに髪にさすとか

三角形がいい、という理由でプラスティックのトレーの角っこをへし折ったのを
揉み上げで支えながら必死でお飾りに見立ててる姿をうっかり想像したら
モニターパンチしそうになった

>But for Weimus...
Isn't it okay? Because that's all the more reason for [Weimus] to suffer when [their accessories] are lost or taken.

>Isn't there any substitute?
Sticking the plastic grass from sushi into their hair like a comb, or something.

[A Weimu] who snapped the corners off a plastic tray (they're good because they're triangular) holding them in place with her sidelocks, desperately trying to use them as an accessory--when I happened to imagine that, I feel like I might punch my monitor.

And then an artist illustrates the previous suggestion:

やったね!
>The butterfly can suck Reimu's filling.

How fortunate!

After that, people comment on the illustration:

コマユバチっぽいのによる寄生とか
蜘蛛に捕食される家ゆとかいろいろいるんだから
ゆっくりの中身を吸う蝶が居ても不思議ではないな
There are parasites like Braconid wasps, spiders that prey on house-yus, and all kinds of things, so it wouldn't be surprising if there were butterflies that sucked yukkuris' filling.

>How fortunate!
Reimu is so easy.
Take care of mister butterfly's little ones, too!
It really is win-win, isn't it?

The artist looks up the reference:

I Googled it, and WHOAAAAA.

Seeing the picture, other people start screaming in revulsion.

I imagine a clan developing the food-raising technique of messing up the feet of an accessoryless koyukkuri so she can't walk, leaving her in a place that is likely to have those kinds of mister bugs, and harvesting from that planting, munch-munching the mister bugs that grow of their own volition.

In response to the above, someone reposted post #28530, and somebody (Rorinko?) tried to illustrate the comment:
