Barcodes? That's a new one. It would actually prevent gutter trash from stealing, but you'd think their previous owner would have removed the barcode before throwing them out.
>>but you'd think their previous owner would have removed the barcode before throwing them out. Maybe they're a kind of tattoo and he couldn't remove them.
Then he probably should have cut it off or killed them.
If pet yukkuri are actually considered "pets" then he's just done the equivalent of throwing out a puppy with the intelligence and survival skills of a (stupid) human child. While leaving his contact details printed on its face.
Kinda makes me wonder if there is a Stupid Human tag.
It's a good idea though, to supplement badges and chips, which can be stolen or missed. It'd be best if it was out of the way, but obviously that doesn't work for a comic.
Cabracan we rather not make tags meant to describe humans outside of "mister" "miss" "anon" and similar stuff, everything here is mean to describe the yukkuris, since they are the focus.
But yeah, dropping yukkuri pets is done quite often, since, well, many times yukkuris really get into the owner's nerve, remember the cases of pet yukkuris mating with strays or wild yukkuris and then demmanding the owner to take care of the partner without taking in consideration the owner. Some yukkuris are able to survive either in the city or in the forest after being kicked out of their pet status, not all the cases but some do. In real life it sadly is done more often with average pets, and with less good reasons than yukkuris, because let's face it, if they grow demmanding, offensive, agressive, arrogant, etc. Why should you keep them? and even further if you aren't into killing them, where should you drop them at? i honestly believe it would be better to outright kill those, less stray making a mess in the city.
