WEll, I was half right.

Shortly after that someone elaborated that the "Shell" translation means like Husk. The two terms imply something that's empty on the inside, hence the doll.

But yeah, Kiri seems to have a great preference for drawing reimu and marisa types. The other kinds tend to have more "cameo" roles than anything, generally.

you know kiriraitaa's recent work has been a little different usely it's just kill kill death smash. but recently it's been pretty lax, i wonder if kiriraitaa is dateing now so is in a better mood.

Remember that the "Yu happiness" book had that ever crying and suffering reimu on the corner, and in this story the Reimu comes out as stupid and potentially scummish.

I suspect that either Kiri is aiming for bigger build ups or some sort of clashing feeling like having happy yu's along side scum/suffering yu's.

i know but even that little corner of sufering was small and not nearly as bruital compared to kiriraitaa's other works.

Being a yukkuri, most likely Reimu missed the most crucial point in Piko's explanation, "it's just a doll"

in b4 2 seconds later Reimu is humping marisa viciously making piko eat her own words.
