Actually you just have to cleverly position them so that the parent stuck with pins overlaps with the orange juice pool and the breeding plate. If you do it right, the parent yu would inflate just enough until it gives birth preventing its explosive demise. To make sure babies do not wander towards the breeding plate, a conveyor belt is a good idea. And secure the breeding area with a wall to prevent kos from avoiding being carried away by the conveyor.

It still means that the parent has to give birth to relieve the stress and not explode, which is different from what I'm expecting: as long as it's placed on an overlapping OJ/breeding pool, it'll neither give birth nor explode, and will grow to an infinite size as long as it doesn't get moved away. ---- Which raises the question: in the older SY versions, can (mental) stress alone cause a yukkuri to explode, regardless of health status? Hence the OJ pool to alleviate mental stress and keep the parent alive in this case. I figured that the pool would serve the purpose of stress relief and keep the thing from exploding, which would make sense if explosion is only determined by stress as the single variable. Health problems can be dealt with by an OJ ampoule anyway.
You see, in my expectation of the older SY versions which I never got my hands on, we can go fuck all with the number of pregnant babies (parent grows infinitely), as the parent will only explode with stress (pregnancy doesn't cause damage). That's the only thing an OJ ampoule can't handle (hunger is not a direct death cause), and that's when the pool steps in to prevent an explosive demise.

Then do you mind explaining the old versions of SY for me? I mean the stress part. Aside from the usual mental stress seen in individual yukkuri, I see that in the UI of this particular version, there's also an environmental stress parameter. So basically, when the surrounding environment gets far too stressed ("uneasy") with too many deaths, exploding yukkuris, etc., then the parameter will rise, and those living in this environment will be negatively affected, or what?

I've only thought that the mental stress only affects a yukkuri's behavior (anti-yukkuritis and the likes), and have never known that it could cause one to explode. So, is the stress here supposed to be the "Stress" parameter that we all know, the "Environmental stress" parameter in older SY versions, or the physical stress exerted on the pregnant body due to internal pressure caused by the babies/poo?

Well, it didn't go quite as I imagined (one huge explosion), but I get the idea. Still, finding the proper balance point between the yukkuri's birthing speed and the development rate of babies inside its body seems like quite a challenge.
*p/s 2: Infinite growth is possible if the impregnation speed is larger than that of the birthing speed, but I've never been able to experience it in Hiatus 1.13: the pregnant yukkuri always reaches a certain threshold in babies held before exploding, whether it has been birthing to release its load or not. It's a normal pregnant explosion, not an overcharged one as a result of infinite growth as seen in the video and this post. So this means that infinite growth due to pregnancy (slowed down by birthing) had been removed some time during the development of SY, and is now not present in Hiatus 1.13. Such a shame.
