Yukkuri Pest
On 20xx, a great incident happened in Japan. This incident starts in Y town where the mayor and local peoples in power joined Yukkurinpeace.
Currently Yukkurinpeace is declared as a small scale terrorist organization. But back then they're a large yukkuri lover group with tens of thousands of members fighting for special treatment of yukkuri.
They do demonstration on yukkuri shop and factories, disturbing the work of extermination workers, forcefully opening farmlands, and even comitted violence to peoples who have yukkuri as pet.
Which made the fact of government's obliviousness about the danger in that organization as an amazing fact in itsef.
There are facts known to public. Yukkuri are easy to catch, nutritious prey. Their reproduction rate also made them near impossible to kill off. They're seedbed for various disease. It's also a fact that ever since yukkuri's first appearance, the population of rats and crows has increased exponentially. Thinking we can let this creature live is insane.
In the end, Y town who are under control of Yukkurinpeace became a living hell not just to abyuser but also peoples who don't care about yukkuri. In this town, yukkuri got luxury because human have to fulfil their demand. Those who don't is criticized by the Yukkurinpeace. There's even casualty from lynching. Seeing this, even other non-Yukkurinpeace lover group members are running away.
The abandoned house in this town became yukkuri nest one after another.
For a while, the town become a true easy place. But this doesn't last. Despite new members of Yukkurinpeace, the population falls while yukkuri's enemy is not limited to human.
Animals hunt them down, and with the limitless gluttony, yukkuri even starts killing each others.
When Y town condition got even worst, finally central government issued order for yukkuri extermination.
Meanwhile, victims starts falling in Y town. First it's though to be influenza, but then they realized it's Pest, one of the most lethal pandemic in human
Medical team are sent and in hurry to save as much peoples as possible, they have to run over many yukkuri that has overrun the town. This bring anger from Yukkurinpeace who's against killing of yukkuri even if that means more human victim.
Police and military are mobilized and the international broadcast give a clear view to the world what kind of organization Yukkurinpeace is.
Even so, a worse thing is waiting. This pandemic is caused by a new strain immune to the currently available vaccine.
It's suspected that yukkuri's magical power facilitates in this mutation. Moreover, the infection rate is very high through contact and airborne.
Yukkurinpeace, losing what's little support they have and under the supervision of police and military has lost their teeth. Now the bigger problem is the infected yukkuri population in that remote town. The view has become like in zombie movies.
Government had decided to build a wall. Originally at 3 metres, the wall suddenly got expanded to 20 metres. Government received many protest because they're wasting tax money just for this overkill yukkuri containment.
But at the same time, there's no information on what happened inside.
All information are closely controlled by government. The press who are invited to finally see what's inside only tell the world that the place is overflowing with yukkuri.
But one of the reporters are now going to show what he saw inside, a very disturbing view that has haunted him ever since. He used to be a yukkuri lover and even joined Yukkurinpeace. But after the experience, he stopped being a yukkuri lover. He doesn't want to torture though, and he kept the video in fear of reaction from the world against yukkuri.
But with his friends all gone, he decided to publish the video because he think government and society are not doing enough.
The video shows that city to be filled by yukkuri, almost up to the roofs. They are eating each others even as they are raping, being raped, or being eaten. Babies are eaten as soon as they're made, and yet their numbers just keep on growing.
Then in the middle is a giant sphere 20 metres tall. Not a Dosu, just an oversized Reimu who move and squash yukkuri around it. Then other yukkuri would come to feast on the sea of paste.
That video shocked the world. Yukkurinpeace is hunted and even destroyed by governments. Society starts hunting down and killing yukkuri. Pet owners are being discriminated.
In a year it took for society to calm down, there's only 1% left of yukkuri population.

In a forest is a clan of yukkuri. Their ancestors survived and teach them to avoid human no matter what. They're lucky enough to be able to live in this mountain where there's many food and for long time the local humans don't hunt them all that much. Flying predators are already gone because they're easy to spot by human, adding to their advantage.
As much as their leader Patchouli wished, even this peaceful life is going to end. Government worker is called to clean up the clan of 100 heads today.
But how long can the government control and exterminate yukkuri ? Right now the extermination ideology rules, but one day, with yukkuri population out of control, abyusers and factories will rise again. Then there will be lovers, the radicals, and finally another tragedy.
At least until the time come, there will be more jobs for the youngs.
