Make sure you are using the correct version of the game.
When a new version is out it never works until I update too, so you have to use the previous version.

In practice you just have to check the last posts of this thread to see which is the most up-to-date version.
For example, the last update shows

You can ignore the link if you are not going to help with the translation. The number before it is the version of the game you have to use.

Version 2.24 is the latest your translation supports, right? That's the one I'm using, and it gives me that error.

On a different note, Does anyone know what I'm supposed to do in this training?

I don't seem to be able to affect anything in that training, and clicking anything just seems to decrease the bar....

Apparently it's learning how to read or something.
The yukkuri has to reach the food under the right letter. I'm not sure if it can be translated at all to be honest.

Additional info(that I forgot to add in the previous post):
I noticed later on that the translation is actually partially applied, the stores have part of their translation applied, as does the yukkuri goddess shrine, but everything else remains untranslated.

Uhhh, How do I get the TL file for 2.23? The only one I seem to be able to DL is the one for 2.24
Using the TL file from 2.24 on 2.23 runs into the issue of 2.23 not having the text update .exe. I tried using the text update .exe from 2.24, but I still got the error that I posted earlier.
I tried it on 2.22 as well, since that one had the text update .exe, and still got the same error.

So that kinda implies that I'm screwing up somewhere. I'm supposed to copy paste the folders from inside the translation folder, into the games Text folder, and I overwrite the old files, Then run the Text update .exe. Is that right?

As a note, I DON'T get the error when I use the files in your 'Originals' folder to undo the translations.

Are you sure its the one on the right? cause the yukkuri acts upset when it eats the one on the right, like it failed....

Edit: NVM, I figured this training out. Clicking boosts them a little bit in whatever direction they're heading, but its almost unnoticeable when they're hopping along, but if they're rolling, then its quite obvious. Unfortunately, boosting doesn't seem to matter much, as the dumbass can decide to turn around at the last second, and go all the way over to the failing one despite your best efforts.
Also, the character you want them to go to is the FIRST character in the little sentence underneath the stamina bar. This isn't always on the right, but that does seem to be the correct one more often than not, so far.

Each version should always work at least with the previous one.
The text updater doesn't really change from version to version, that's why if it disappears we can distribute our own taken from an old version.
And by "right letter" I meant "correct letter"...

I'll try to fix the translation when I update to 2.25...

Good news!

  • The translation now works. As usual the error was caused by missing lines in the baby Marisa's file.
  • The menu on the right can now be translated! It was already taken care of, so you can just download the translation to get it in english.
    • Unfortunately currently the formatting sucks, but what can we do. If you don't like it feel free to change it and submit your changes.
  • Other menu-related words and sentences can also be translated, but they aren't done yet.

This game went from version beta 2.26 to version 1.0, i.e. it's now not a beta anymore.

Before you'll see an update from me it's going to be a while as I have to take care of unrelated stuff and with a change in versioning I'm expecting big changes in the translatable data.
Ideally next week, hopefully before thursday.

What should i do to make yu pass the badge test? I did the counting and "which letter is which" training and still can't pass the test
