create alias valentine's_day -> valentine
create alias pool's_closed -> pools_closed
create alias i'd_hit_that -> id_hit_that

Is there a reason why "valentine's_day" is not "valentines_day"?

in general having single quotes or apostrophes is not good because of inconsistent input sanitation. I'm ok with this.

It's not a problem with the apostrophe.
I was waiting on an answer about valentine's day, but I guess it will be simply valentine from now on.
