So what's the status on who's doing what part of the translation? I could probably do some, if I had a script to play around with.
edit: That is to say, I could do the JPN text -> ENG text. I know nothing about code, so I couldn't reinsert it myself once I have it translated.

Last I heard the TL was nearly done, but anything with my name next to it in the second post could use a proofread, at least.
There's also the matter of the translations being redone for a newer release, which is on hold since the only one of us with hacking skills is under the weather and the author is cranking out updates too fast anyway.
So, should I just finish off Block 1, or what?
The guy who was doing it seems to have dropped off the face of the Earth, so I guess so?

Hey, I tried downloading the partial translation in the OP, but every time I click the icon, I get pic related. How am I supposed to do this?

Edit: figured it out. Does this only work for the 0.88 version, or will it work on new ones as well? Are there still plans to implement all of the stuff that's been translated?

Should only work for .88.
The project is not dead we are waiting for the next big release plus bug fix. The version we where looking at most likely 1.04 or .05 was supposed to be coming this past week but apparently the Dev ran in to an issue and has delayed presumably till some time next week.
Am I wrong in thinking that some of the "training" options aren't present in the "partial translation" in OP? Specifically, I can't seem to find the option to tell her to pick up her poo.

The fourth item in the menu is a couple of kanji. Click that, and then the third option. When she shits, some characters will show below and you click them to have her drag her shit.
Really, in .88, it's not even training. It's more about commands and the ability to comprehend. AFAIK, there wasn't any way for her to evolve in behavior and intelligence until 1.XX.
I haven't played this game in months, but IIRC, you had to raise her intellect to 100+ to even get her to drag shit. At 200+, if you timed it right, she could be scolded when she started shitting outside the toilet-but she never "learned" not to. Only at 300+ would she reliably go in the toilet.

Yeesh, in that case I'll just have to wait for the translated version to be updated I guess. No point in playing something that seems so unfinished.
Seems like as of 1.03-1.04-ish, shoving her face in the shit is a real miracle cure. Just now on 1.04, she went poo, I told her to clean it up, she refused. Shoved her face in for a few seconds, tried again, she complied. Stats were 137/18/0, though I forget which is which exactly.
I may be wrong, but I think she may have some new cowering/shivering animations. At the least, I don't think she reacted quite the same way previously. Also, now that you can remove the pipe/power towel tube, she reacts with shock if you take it away while she's moving to hide in it.

i haven't checked on this thread in some time... anyway, should we work on translating the more recent updates sometime? It'll be easy with what we've already got. but i assume there's some concern about when the developer is going to stop updating it, so we won't have too much difficulty keeping up...

I mean, I'm not exactly sure what kind of work goes into this kind of project, but from what I can tell, most of the text doesn't really change from one version to the next. I dunno.
