Anko 4453: Offering
by Tsurezure-aki
A Femanon is greeted by a baby yukkuri and promptly stomps on it. The parents sit off to the side, crying.
The narrator explains that the parents are a pair of strays she found wrecking her flower garden. After dealing out some harsh punishment, she decided to let them live in her yard, and she abused them more until they agreed to her terms--every three days, they must present her with an "offering"--a baby yukkuri.
At the first offering, the parents smugly gloat that Miss is sure to be charmed by their cute baby Reimu and make her a pet. Miss picks up the baby and hurls it at the ground. The soft, squishy baby-yu explodes on impact. The parents scream and cry, so Miss has to kick them around to put them in their place. She threatens worse punishment if they resist her again.
Three days later, the parents bring her the new "offering," one with a little black hat this time. Miss is rather impressed that the stupid yukkuris were even capable of coming up with a plan to trick her, but it's obvious that the offering is a rock with a hat on it (and there's a hatless Baby Maricha peeking out of their house), and the yukuuris can't help voicing their thoughts, eager to see Miss hurt herself when she tries to squash the offering.
Miss crumples up a few sheets of newspaper around the "offering" and lights it on fire. The yukkuris panic--Miss wonders if they've seen fire before, or if it's just instinctive knowledge passed down through the generations.
Little Maricha comes bounding out to rescue her precious hat. She's too slow to be able to reach the fire before her hat completely burns up, so Miss grabs her with a pair of tongs and brings her closer. Miss just meant to show Maricha her burning hat up close, but the heat immediately sets Maricha's hair on fire. Maricha screams for her parents to save her, but they just cower in fear and despair and watch as she dies.
As punishment for trying to trick her, Miss jams hot pebbles up their anyarus, burning them so they can't poop until they heal.
Another time, they refrain from making babies and tell Miss that they don't have any offering to give her. Miss forces them to refresh, rips off the stalks, and gives the parents a paddling.
Eventually, the yukkuris become resigned to their fate and offer up their babies without trying to escape. In an attempt to lessen the emotional pain, they make more babies than they can count, but from time to time, Miss culls the babies and reduces them to fewer than three so the parents can be aware of each child. On offering days, the parents grit their teeth and cry as they try to avert their eyes from their baby being crushed, and the rest of the time, they desperately try to forget the horror by happily singing and doing rub-rub with their remaining children.
Miss thinks that when the parents eventually become unable to have any more children, she'll turn them into compost yukkuris. Their punishment won't end.
"Yuyuu? Chake it eaj..."
SQUELCH!!
Today, again, flowers of dirty bean paste bloom in my garden.
