help:bur notice
A bulk update request (BUR) is a request to change one or more tags.
Creating a bulk update request will create a forum topic to discuss and vote on the request.
Use the format below to make a request, where words between curly braces are placeholders of the tags affected by the BUR:
alias {tag to alias} -> {alias of the tag} unalias {tag to unalias} -> {alias to remove} imply {subject of the implication} -> {implied tag} unimply {subject of the implication} -> {implied tag to remove} rename {tag to rename} -> {new name of the tag} update {tag to change} -> {list of tags to replace with} nuke {tag to delete} category {tag to move} -> {category to move to}
alias
This command will merge two tags, making them synonyms for each other.
For example, the following command:
alias mikan_aki -> takumi
Will make "mikan_aki" a synonym for "takumi", meaning any use of the "mikan_aki" tag will automatically be converted to "takumi".
The unalias command is simply the inverse operation.
imply
This command will make so that whenever the first tag is added to a picture, then the second tag is also automatically applied.
Therefore, the following command:
imply wasa_reimu -> reimu
will result in the tag "reimu" being added to all pictures also tagged "wasa_reimu".
The implication only goes one way, so in the example above "reimu" does not add the "wasa_reimu" tag.
The unimply command is simply the inverse operation
rename
This command is similar to alias, with the exceptions that the two tags are not made synoyms.
If we change the command used in the alias example:
rename mikan_aki -> takumi
then this will result in all posts tagged "mikan_aki" to be tagged "takumi", like with alias, but searching (or using on a picture again) the "mikan_aki" tag does not result in "takumi".
update
This command is equivalent to the "search and replace" tool which can be find e.g. on text editing programs.
The following command:
update bawiza -> marisa delusional
will substitute every usage of the "bawiza" tag with the "marisa" and "delusional" tag.
It should be possible to use any number of tags in the right side of the command (after the ->.)
nuke
This completely removes a tag from the system.
It's as simple as that.
However, please use it only if it's a matter of life and death.
category
This command changes the category of a tag.
Basically, this:
category mike -> character
will place the "mike" tag in the "character" category, so that it will appear grouped with other characters tag while looking at a picture.
