Where do hybrid yukkuri come from, anyway? Normal yukkuri reproduction seems to produce yukkuri that "breed true" to one or the other parent -- even with the occaisional mutation, such as shell Marisa. The only real exception I can think of is Sanae, who produces Suwakos and Kanakos instead of Sanaes.
Various sources; it might be that 99% of the time a yukkuri is a clone, occasionally you get hybrids. See post #3073. Hybrids can also be formed by combing two yukkuri after birth, though this is hit or miss. (post #1737 and post #1775, post #4352 and post #4353, post #13998 through post #14000, etc).
If the Patchouni has Marisa babies, does that mean the Marisa up there is one of the parents too? How can it possibly hope to eat or see its kids this far out to sea?
