While we're at it, artist___clammbon -> clammbon. In fact, why hasn't the artist___(artist_name) -> (artist_name) done already? Wasn't this the first order of business to be done in fixing tags for consistency?
sorta. Not done because I'm the only one that can do mass edits and fixing artists requires a few steps.
edit: done the requested ones and added a few. There's 11 pages of this stuff.

Should we keep the oh,_scary,_scary tag? Seems redundant since we have the Nightmare Fuel pool and the commas don't play nice with the system.

Maybe we should have a d.o character tag? Since d.o herself is in some of the pics. Also hiiragi and shiruberutaaki are the same person then or no?

It seem more likely they're two different artist. They're art style seem way different between them.

funny, thought I fixed that a while ago. oh well it should be fixed now.
I know monochrome is one of those old tags that has seen use for a long time now, but do we really need it? What is it even good for?
For searches where the only noticeable thing one could remember within a specific picture they're trying to find an image was that it was black&white. If the tag was used more then it useful may increase.
We just don't use it but its actually a really useful tag if you think about it. Some pictures you just don't remember much about, but you remember its black and white.

So that would mean tagging every single black & white picture posted in OYP with monochrome.

And that is why I don't use the tag at all. Similarly, its also why (almost) no one uses the even more cumbersome colored tag.
Anyway, does someone want to go through the tags and start writing up PROPER wikis for (some) of them? Its getting pretty obvious that people either don't understand what the tag is for or are flat-out mistagging and don't care (I'm guessing its more the latter because trying to not be crushed is apparently a desperate_struggle now: post #32202)

i'd say pc98 is more descriptive overall. But there's also the nonyukkuri versions to consider as well.

My suggestion:
kirisame_marisa_(classic) --> kirisame_marisa_(pc98)
hakurei_reimu_(classic) --> hakurei_reimu_(pc98)
marisa_(classic) --> marisa_(pc98)
reimu_(classic) --> reimu_(pc98)
The classic tag is already used for a different context, and using pc98 in most other instances is to avoid confusion.
pc98_marisa --> marisa_(pc98)
pc98_reimu --> reimu_(pc98)
For consistency.

I guess it should be fine if they're referring to the same yukkuri, but like the d.o example above, they're not used to tag the same pictures.
